Pixel Resolution

Image Brightness
The BenQ Projector puts out a generous 2200 lm worth of light, but to get that you have to have it in bright mode. Unfortunately, that tends to give your image a bit of a greenish tint. While you’re supposed to get 4000 hours of use from the lamp, you’ll actually get times that much if you don’t use it in bright mode. Also note that another feature you get with this model is 3-D, which means it’s one of only a handful of 4K projectors below $2000 that offers that.
The BenQ Projector also offers an output of over 1,000,000,000 colors with native support for 16:9 and HDR, which means you will get nice smooth gradients and plenty of detail in the bright and dark areas.
Other Features
The input lag is a bit of a problem since it is at 50 ms. This is adequate, but not necessarily for gamers since the very top projectors will have lag times of no more than 20 ms. The small 5W speaker provided with the unit is okay to use if you are desperate – and not quite as tinny-sounding as many other models – but definitely not what you want in a home theater system. In other words, bring your own speakers.
