This unit was released in 2013 and has been superseded by the MultiSport Cardio with built-in (off the wrist) heart rate monitor and also the Runner 2 with built-in MUSIC storage and again by the Runner 3 (Spark 3) … However, If you don’t want or need activity tracking then the MultiSport Cardio still offers good value for money.
Similar to the TomTom MultiSport Cardio but WITHOUT the strapless heart rate sensor. This model will only give heart rate while training if you include the Bluetooth heart rate belt. The TomTom Multisport is a great watch for anyone who runs, bikes, swims and gyms it. Integrated into the MultiSport is an accelerometer that will give accurate speed and distance data when you run on a treadmill (once calibrated)
One of the best features of all the TomTom range is their QuickFix GPS acquisition. If you connect your phone to the GPS watch it takes GPS data from the phone. Next time you want to exercise no hanging around waiting for a GPS Fix, QuickFix is already there. Good value multisport GPS watch with optional heart rate sensor.
