Projectors give a definitive home theater experience. There is nothing else that closely compares to their magical ability to recreate the viewing experience of the typical movie theater. It’s not difficult to imagine the extraordinary beauty of Avatar’s planet Pandora (or something else you love to watch). Right there, spread out in front of you- in the convenience of your living room. For the lovers of video games, there isn’t a better way to enhance your experience than with the use of the right projector.
The best news so far is; there are plenty of projector models in the market. However, just like with other consumer products in modern days, choosing a projector can be such a daunting task. Regardless, choosing the right one is pretty much straightforward. If the two models remaining on your list are Optoma HD25-LV vs BenQ W1070, then you have come to the right place. Optoma HD25-LV vs BenQ W1070
Benq w1070 is a favorite model for the majority of people who have the financial capabilities to purchase. Depending on where you buy it, the price begins from $700. Don’t be surprised, though; it delivers value for this money. You get to experience the viewing experience of projection of up to 200 inches – 1080p full HD images. The single most perfect word for the experience of this nature is “extraordinarily cool.” As far as brightness is concerned, it measures 2000 lumen and the contrast ratio is 10000:1. On the other hand, Optoma HD25-LV projector is designed with 4244 DarkChip3 technology from Texas Instruments. This is apparently the same technology used in Benq W1070. Just like W1070 from Benq, this projector model has some pretty nice hardware. It also provides 3D compatibility at a fairly reasonable of approximately $850.
When it comes to 2D image quality, HD25-LV is outsmarted by W1070. When the two projectors are placed within the same distance from the screen or wall, HD25-LV usually projects smaller images than its close competitor W1070. HD25-LV is typically between 1.67 and 2.01 meters. On the other hand, W1070’s image usually ranges between 2.03 and 2.64 meters. Actually, this is perhaps the major difference between these two projector models.
When you consider the brightness of the images of the two projectors, Optoma HD25-LV is undoubtedly superior. In terms of image quality, the HD25-LV provides a contrast ratio of 20000:1. This is usually dependent on the amount of white involved in the image. The image contrast ratio in W1070 usually 10000:1. In its simplest form, a contrast ratio is a ratio that shows the amount of light reflected from an all black and white image. In that case, if a projector’s contrast ratio is 10000:1, it means that the white image is 10000 times brighter compared to the black picture.
It wouldn’t hurt to compare aspects such as the noise produced by the projectors. Would it? The biggest problem or shortcoming of both models is the noise they produce. The amount of noise generated by the fan while one meter away from them, is around 30 dB. This means that, they should be positioned as far away from the sofa as possible.
Basically, this information should help someone who is torn between the two models to make the right decision. Up to this point, you must already have decided the model that will meet your needs satisfactorily.
