1. Yamaha P71 88 key digital piano Review

Yamaha P71 88-Key Weighted Action Digital Piano Review

Yamaha! I think you know Yamaha and won’t have any doubt about its quality. This one is also the most affordable 88 key weighted keyboard on our list. But yes, it is not a high-end piano. It has only the basic Yamaha features. Hence, those are enough for the maximum pianists. If you are not happy with that or looking for an extreme professional’s digital piano, then you should continue reading.

The design of the Yamaha P71 is very eye-catching. It really has a cool minimalist design. You will need very little space in your home or studio to keep that beauty. It only weighs 25 lbs. The depth of this 88 key piano is less than 12 in.

If you have played any digital piano from Yamaha, you may know their sound quality. We have tested the sound quality of this P71 in many ways and we are happy with the characteristic. It has 10 different voices and obviously with the tone of Yamaha’s grand acoustic piano. You can even combine two different voices like piano and strings to have a better taste.

2. Casio Privia PX-160 Digital Piano Review

Casio Privia PX-160 #4 $2000 digital piano

Casio Privia PX-160 is another beauty from Casio. It is an affordable 88 key weighted electronic keyboard specially built for the beginners. But a professional player can grab that too. This one is the updated version of Casio’s top-rated 88 key digital piano “PX-150”. The best part we love about this piano is that it worth every penny you spend.

It comes with a CS-67 piano stand, an SP-33 pedal, a furniture bench, and a polishing cloth. It also comes with the instructional book and the manufacturer provides an Austin Bazaar instructional DVD with the piano that can help you if you are a beginner.

The elegant design of PX-160 can attract everyone. It has two colors: white and black. It is another lightweight piano that weighs only 98 pounds.

The speaker quality of the Privia PX-160 is awesome. Casio has redesigned the speaker system in this version. It has two output ports on the front side for the speakers and input for the pedals and headphones.

3. Yamaha P-115 Digital Piano Review

Yamaha P115 88-Key Weighted Action Digital Piano Review

Here is another Yamaha! Yamaha has been excellent at making digital piano. They offer a lot of magnificent weighted keyboards too and P-115 is one of them. This is a top digital piano with 88 keys from Yamaha. Our top pick is from Yamaha as well. So, I guess there is no need to tell about the manufacturer.

P-115 comes with L-85 Yamaha piano stand, LP-5A Pedal, and a cool piano bench. The manual/instruction book can come in handy for the player. Yamaha P-115’s key is GHS weighted and this 88 key acts like an acoustic piano that means they seem heavier in the low end but lighter in the high end.

The sound system of P-115 is brilliant. The Yamaha teams have integrated Pure CF Sound Engine with that budget-friendly 88 weighted keys keyboard. P-115 has its own controller iOS app for iOS devices. The interface of the app is very simple and anyone can navigate it easily.

4. Yamaha P45 88 Weighted Keys Digital Piano Review

Yamaha P-45 weighted keyboards

Yamaha P45 is another super performing weighted keyboard available in the market. This digital keyboard piano has 88 Graded Hammer Standard (GHS) keys. P45 is lightweight and easy to use. This can be the best option for anyone who is looking for the best digital piano with 88 weighted keys.

The sound system of this Yamaha keyboard is more realistic like a grand piano sound as it comes with the full-stereo AWM sampling. It has dual 6W amplifiers operated with built-in stereo speakers so that you can play even in front of crazy crowds. The Keyboard layer mode and Duo mode are unique features. You can create more adorable sounds by using the Keyboard layer mode and if you want to practice with your partner together.

This Yamaha too comes with a piano stand, a bench, and a music book or CD. The piano stand is also from Yamaha. The Yamaha L85 stand is beautiful and stylish. The bench is from the Knox.

5. Yamaha P-45 Digital Piano Review

Yamaha P-45 weighted keyboards

This one is another cool piano from Yamaha. Don’t get confused between the Yamaha P45 and Yamaha P-45. I know their model is too close. But trust me both are not the same. You can say that this one is slightly an updated model of the previous P45. Like the P45, this P-45 comes with an L-85 Stand, piano bench, and polishing cloth.

It too has 88 GHS weighted keys that feel like the real acoustic piano. You can feel the natural instrument sound in stereo with its advanced wave memory stereo sampling. P-45 has the dual-mode by which means you can combine even two different voices together. It will help you a lot when you will practice with your stage partner.

The design is pretty much similar to the previous P45. The stunning black color fits really well. The piano has some USB to HOST ports that allow you to connect with a lot of musical instruments. You can even connect with your mobile devices.

6. Korg B1SP 88 Weighted Key Digital Piano Review

Korg B1SP 88 Weighted Key Digital Piano

Korg is a familiar brand for its quality musical instrument in the musical industry. They are manufacturing a variety of musical instruments like drums, digital pianos, Synthesizers, recorders, tuners, amplifiers, etc. You may have heard the name of Vox brand, the famous guitar amplifiers manufacturer. Korg owns the Vox too.

Korg B1SP is a beautiful 88 key keyboard under $1000. Actually, it is close to $600. (Can’t mention today’s price for some reasons 🙁 ). These 88 natural weighted keys will help you to taste the real sound of acoustic pianos. This piano comes with 8 digitally sampled sounds.

You will enjoy a fantastic sound system as the Korg B1SP has integrated with a built-in stereo sound system that runs with MFB servo technology.

The design of the Korg B1SP is quite interesting. Most probably, this one is the most beautifully built weighted piano we have reviewed so far. I love how they have designed the piano with the sheet stand, pedals, and keyboards. It is simple but elegant somewhere. The furniture bench from Knox increases the beauty of that piano as well.

7. Yamaha DGX-660 88 Key Grand Digital Piano Review

Yamaha DGX-660 88 Key Grand Digital Piano

Things We Like

  • LCD screen
  • Large music collection
  • Built-in recorder & Speakers
Things We Didn't Like
  • Knox bench is hard to assemble
  • Insufficient internal memory
  • Much heavier than other DGX models
This one is from Yamaha too. Yamaha has manufactured a lot of digital pianos with different weighted keys. DGX-660 is an 88 key weighted digital piano with a Knox piano bench, pedal, dust cover, and a manual book/DVD. This model has a variant as well. You can choose Yamaha accessories like Yamaha piano bench etc. instead of Knox accessories. Click here for the DGX-660 with Yamaha accessories.

Pure CF Sound Engine is a unique feature of Yamaha. They have developed it with the experience of a long-time piano manufacturing. This technology helps you to get the acoustic alike sound. GHS weighted keys are more comfortable and can reduce the physical work of your hands. The piano Room setting lets you create your own piano environment at your home. You can simply make your desired club stage or concert hall environments.

You can connect a microphone with the DGX-660 and play the piano with singing your favorite songs. But, if you are shy to sing like me (actually, I am a bathroom singer 😀 ), you can play the pre-built songs from the music library. You can see the lyrics on the display as well. Now, just record everything like music, piano sound, and your voice together with the help of the built-in recorder and hear it on the built-in speakers.

8. Yamaha YDP143R Arius Series Console Digital Piano Review

Yamaha YDP143R Arius Series 88 key keyboards

Now that one is one of my favorite weighted pianos from the Yamaha Arius series. So far, we have reviewed almost four Yamaha pianos and this YDP143R is the best in business if you compare it with them. This one can even be a great choice for your stage performance.

This Yamaha YDP143R too comes with a bench. You will also receive a music book where 50 tones are printed. Those 50 songs will also be stored in the built-in memory! As it has a 2-track song recorder with built-in memory, you can record what you play and can listen to them later. That is a good way to judge your own music. Even, you can make your own private CD :D.

The half-damper pedal comes in handy when you are laying and it creates a fine distinction that could be similar to the paddling on a grand piano. The GHS weighted 88 keys can give you the feel of real acoustic pianos.

The design of the Yamaha Arius YDP143R is simply mind-blowing. The dark rosewood color makes it even more stunning. The sound system of that digital piano is quite similar to the Yamaha P71 but more upgraded. Yamaha has used the Pure CF Sound Engine technology in this piano to make it more like the sound of a grand piano. This technology is generally found in $2000 worth digital pianos. But, we are surprised to see it with this model.

This Yamaha YDP143R of Arius series has a controller iOS-based application. This application is quite simple if you compare to other controlling apps. You will be amazed at seeing the graphical beauty of that controlling app. The navigation is so easy.

9. Yamaha Arius YDPS52 Traditional Console Style Digital Piano Review

Yamaha Arius YDPS52 weighted keyboards

Yamaha is a well-renowned brand and their musical instruments are famous among artists all over the world because of their quality. The great thing I love about Yamaha is that they are solid at their commitment. They never compromise on quality. So far, you have read the reviews of 4-5 Yamaha pianos in this article. Now it’s time for another cool digital piano from the Arius series. Arius YDPS52 has all the necessary features that a pianist seeks.

This piano comes with 88 weighted and synthetic Ivory GH keys. The keys are made of plastic. But, you will feel the same comfort as an acoustic piano. The one and only cons of this piano are the keyboards are a bit noisy. But, except for this one, this piano is superb in quality.

Yamaha Arius YDPS52 has two colors; white and black. For me, the white one seems more classy than the black. I have bought the white one a couple of months ago. I loved how Yamaha has designed the entire piano set. The pedal is also giving an extra edge to its beauty. This version of the Yamaha Arius series seems more compact. It is suitable even for a small apartment. The product dimension is only 16.7 x 57.6 x 20.6 inches. So, you can imagine how thin and slim the piano is!

Sound quality is one of the best parts of the Yamaha Arius series. All of their Arius series pianos are familiar with the top sound quality. The Arius YDPS52 has kept the same flow running. It has string resonance that creates the sympathetic sounds of acoustic pianos. You will be amazed to hear the sound quality. The acoustic optimizer can help you to get a more similar sound to an acoustic piano.

This model of the Arius series comes with built-in speakers and a recorder. You can record your own playing and can justify your arts. You can control the customizer by simply using the iOS application. The Stereophonic Optimizer is another cool stuff from Yamaha. You can enhance the feel of the sound while you are wearing the headphones.

10. The ONE Smart Piano (Weighted 88-Key Digital Piano) Review

The ONE Smart Digital Piano Review

Things We Like

  • LEDs help to learn piano
  • Smart and easy to use mobile app
  • Fun & kid friendly
Things We Didn't Like
  • Sometimes LEDs do not work
  • Fewer in-built full music. You need to spend more money for full music access.
  • Customer support is not so good
Did you hear about “The ONE Music Group”? I guess not and you are maybe thinking that why we have included this one on the list of top 10 88 key keyboards. Well, this may not come from a popular piano brand, but this one has the same quality and deserve the place in this review. The ONE Music Group has only two models of piano & keyboard in the market so far (at the time of reading) one is this “Smart Piano” and another one is named “The one light keyboard”.

This “Smart Piano” can be treated as one of the finest beginner’s pianos. They have integrated some LED lights with the GH keys. So, the LED light will guide you from zero to play a built-in song. There are 4000+ sheet music, 100+ videos, and games in their free mobile app. This app is available for both iOS and Android systems.

It has a MIDI output port and a built-in recorder. You can record your own voice as well by connecting a stereo mic. The weighted keys are made of plastic.

Note: The “Smart Piano” is specially made for beginners. It can be a good gift for your kid as well. But yes, if you are a mid or expert pianist, then I will suggest you not to buy that one.
