Is there any app that can make an Android phone a projector?

The answer is simple ‘ No ‘ because the Android phone doesn’t come with hardware configure and a lens to project visuals on a projector. However, there are phone projector apps that can transform an Android phone into a media source of a projector.

Currently, there isn’t a consumer phone that has a built-in projector configuration, but this thing could be a reality in the near future. The android devices come with only one surface, and it doesn’t get pico-projector hardware to broadcast the screen on a different surface. So there is no way an application that can make an Android phone a projector.

However, rather than searching for a projector, you can opt for a pico projector which is the size of your phone but offers all the functionalities of a general projector. They provide a decent projection quality which is ideal for casual movie sessions or small presentations.

Generally, they weigh around 1lbs and hold the capacity to offer a 50-80 inch screen size with a decent amount of brightness. Most of the pico projector provides a resolution of 480p, but some expensive models possess 720p native resolution.

Well, there is some intriguing way to use your projector with your Android phone, but it entirely depends upon the port as well as connection compatibility of your projector. The best way to use a projector with your Android phone is through a projector app for an android phone.

Nowadays most of the projectors come with Wi-Fi compatibility which allows you to connect your phone with the projector wirelessly. However, if your projector doesn’t have Wi-Fi support, then you can use a Wi-Fi HDMI dongle to convert it which works in the same way.

If you go to the Play Store, you will find many apps which offer an option to use your projector through your phone, but most of them don’t work. But some apps like Epson iProjection, Projector Remote, MultiPresneter, Panasonic Wireless Project, ClickShare, Barco Projector control, etc. works efficiently in acting as a medium.

You just have to connect the phone with the Wi-Fi of the projector, and these apps will do the rest. Apart from the standard operations, you can do a lot of exclusive things with these apps like rotate images, zoom pictures, use the phone as a remote, mark data images, etc.

Apart from Wi-Fi, you can even use the projector with your Android phone, and that is by connecting the phone using a mini HDMI or MHL cable. However, if your phone doesn’t have MHL or mini HDMI support, then you can use an MHL-HDMI adapter and USB-C to HDMI adapter to connect it.
